We Imagehave worked hard to ensure that our motto, "When you're ready to talk business, talk to the town of Islip," will continue to attract and grow the commercial community.   Our work shows in the many components that make up the Town of Islip, from MacArthur Airport and the industrial corridor of Vets Highway to the Empire Zone that stretches from Central Islip to Great River, to the Carleton Avenue legal corridor in Central Islip, to our newest affordable housing community, the award-winning Southwind Village in Bay Shore.  Along the way, we have seen the construction of the federal court complex on Carleton Avenue, as well as Citibank Ballpark, home to the Long Island Ducks.

All of these projects have positively impacted the economy of Islip, in the form of direct and ancillary employment.  For instance the coonstruction of a new $90 Million terminal building by Southwest Airlines has resulted in MacArthur becomingone of the strongest regional aiports in the country. [With Southwest Airlines as its anchor, the airport offers more thatn 200 flights per day to many destinations throughout the United States.  Additionally, its central location has been cited as one of the leading reasons businesses choose to locate here.  In fact, the Veterans Highway corridor has beenImage recognized as such a fast-growing industrial area that many builers and developers are constructiing office space there merely on speculation, [so strong is their belief in the location]. With easy access to major roadways and the Long Island Railroad, MacArthur Airport offers the ultimate in service for the business, as well as the leisure traveler.
