The Town of Islip Economic Development Corporation (TOIEDC) is a not-for-profit public benefit corporation established under the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law, Section 201. Its mission is to promote economic growth, create employment opportunities, and improve the quality of life for Town of Islip residents.

TOIEDC fulfills this mission by supporting the not-for-profit sector through access to low-cost financing for capital projects. Specifically, TOIEDC serves as the legal entity through which qualified not-for-profit organizations can secure:

• Federally tax-exempt and taxable revenue bonds
• Sales tax exemptions on construction materials and equipment

By facilitating this financing, TOIEDC actively works to attract and develop job opportunities, recreational resources, and civic facilities throughout the Town of Islip.
