The Nature’s Bounty Co.

A Healthy Dose of Incentives To Strengthen the Company, and Islip.

The Nature’s Bounty Co., the vitamin and food-supplement maker, considered relocating as it planned a major expansion and modernization of its corporate headquarters and manufacturing operations. With the company contributing an estimated $300 million to the local and state economy, keeping them on Long Island was a top priority for the Town of Islip.

We offered the company a grant of up to $25 million, plus up to $8.5 million in performance-based tax credits through the Excelsior Jobs Program, as well as $1.5 million in tax credits through the Employee Training Incentive program. Nature’s Bounty agreed to stay and, as part of the deal, pledged to create 157 new jobs and retain 2,042 current jobs, while investing over $142 million to expand and modernize its Long Island facilities.
